ORE PART 1 STUDY PLAN
Preparing for the ORE part 1 with Bay Dental involves a very easy three Phase study plan. Ideally you should first finish your application and ship it asap irrespective of when you decide to give part 1 so you can concentrate on your part 1 preparation.
Phase 1 – Theory Topics revision from pink and blue book + Bay Dental Notes
Phase 2 – Practice Solving MCQ books
Phase 3 – Feedbacks + Question Bank + BDA sheets + Online Mocks
We have simplified the entire preparation for you. How you decide to pace yourself Is completely in your hands. All the materials and the plan is available for you to access anytime.
Ideally below are the plan you should follow
Phase 1 Theory Revision topics from Pink + Blue Book 1.5-2 months Mark Books + Make Notes for future quick revision
Phase 2 MCQ Practice Books 1.5-2 Months Solve 200-500 questions / day with time limit and mark wrong answers for revision
Phase 3 Feedback + QB+ BDA Advise Sheets + Online Mocks 2-3 months before exam date Know the answers of each and every question in Feedback
The above plan is basic plan that is easy to follow and you can pace yourself based on your time, professional commitments, kids, etc.
But the important thing is keep moving ahead. Do not stop completely during your preparation or you will have to go back to phase 1 to re-revise your theory knowledge.
EG :- What is the nerve supply of the Lateral Pterygoid Muscle ?
You will know this answer well after phase 1 but will forget if you take a long gap between phases.
So the important thing is to pace yourself based on your target exam date.
There are many students who get frustrated if they do not get the exam booking, or they have a baby, marriage, or family commitments and throw a spoke in your preparations. You have to decide where you stand based on this plan, and either go back a step and restart from the start from where you left off.
The ultimate aim is to be ready and at phase 3, 2-3 months prior to your exam.
The Phase 3 of preparation in by far the most important phase as it has all the previous years questions and feedbacks with Images etc that will come in the exam. You need to spend maximum time prior to your exam on this phase. But if any questions come from outside the Feedback / Question Bank you have to have the knowledge to answer, that is where phase 1 and phase 2 will help you.
If you jump directly to phase 3, you are taking a big risk and can end up being disappointed. So I suggest taking your time, respecting the plan and progressing as per the above plan.
Good Luck .
